Mountain Bike Rentals at the Garden
Amp'd Adventures provides standard pedal Mountain Bike Rentals at Garden of the Gods as well as Electric Bikes. If you are coming from low elevation and flat terrain, we highly advise renting e-Bikes for your self-guided tour of Garden of the Gods because of the hilly terrain and high elevation with thinner air. Non-assisted mountain bikes are allowed off-road in a dedicated section of the park with single track trails, but all e-bikes must remain on designated paved areas for bikes.Are Self-Guided Rentals or Guided Tours Best?
While we offer both self-guided Rentals and professionally-guided Tours, if you are a visitor wanting to ride a bike or e-bike through Garden of the Gods, or other area locations, we would highly recommend you consider a guided e-bike tour - for a number of important reasons that may not be obvious. This includes the ability to go into locations not available to self-guided Rentals, better safety for navigating traffic, and getting some background of what to look at and why when you are sightseeing. Advanced Reservations and Walk-Ups:
Online booking for Garden of the Gods e-Bike rentals close the night before. Same day rentals are available on a walk-up first-come first-served basis, or may be available by phone.Limited advance booking for rentals is available on our rental calendar, and may be available at one or both of our locations depending on season and staffing. For advance booking of self-guided manual pedal or e-bikes, see our Rental Calendar. For Walk-Ups at either of our locations, bike Rentals are on first-come first-served basis, and subject to availability and days of operation which may vary. Locations for Electric and/or Mountain bikes may also vary. You can call prior to coming to confirm current rental availability that day, but please be aware that availability can change after you call or at any time due to other renters, weather, and other factors.
Rental Locations & Bike Types:
1. Garden of the Gods Visitor's Center - Electric bikes and standard pedal mountain bikes. Open daily, subject to weather and availability.2. 3040 W Colorado Ave - Electric bikes and standard pedal mountain bikes. Generally open Wednesday through Saturday in season, and subject to weather and availability. Sunday through Tuesday may be available upon request - please call.
Rental Rates:
Rates vary depending on bike type and season.E-bikes (electric assist): See Rental Calendar for availability and pricing details, 2 hour minimum rentals.
HardTail Mountain Bike (manual pedal): See Rental Calendar for details, 2 or 4 hour rental
Rental Requirements:
Renter must be 25+ years old to sign rental contract, with valid drivers license and credit card.Renter must be one of riders.
Maximum of 6 people per rental agreement.
Damage deposit is required.
Rider Requirements:
For E-Bikes: All electric bike riders in the rental party must must be 16+ and have a valid drivers license.For Mountain Bikes (not e-bikes): All bike riders in the rental party must be 12+ years old, 4'10"+ tall, and subject to bike size and style availability.
For all:
Each rider in the rental party must demonstrate confident and capable riding prior to departure.
Each rider must sign a waiver, and wear closed shoes (no sandals, flip flops or clogs), and wear a helmet (provided).
